BGB Group Global LTD is a leading global provider of Access and Inspection services to the offshore wind and utilities sectors.
Role Purpose
As a key member of the leadership team, you will oversee finance, commercial strategy, and performance management, ensuring sustainable growth, profitability, and financial discipline. You will play a pivotal role in scaling the business, optimising pricing, and implementing robust financial controls and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute financial strategies to support 3.5x revenue growth.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling for scalability.
- Implement KPIs and performance dashboards to track profitability by project, sector, and region.
- Strengthen cash flow management, working capital, and cost control.
2. Commercial Strategy
- Drive pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and tender profitability in offshore wind/utilities.
- Identify new market opportunities and expansion strategies.
- Work with BD/sales teams to improve win rates and margin optimisation.
3. Operational & Risk Management
- Introduce real-time financial reporting for project performance.
- Oversee risk management, compliance, and governance (including international operations).
- Optimise supply chain and procurement strategies.
4. Leadership & Growth Enablement
- Mentor finance and commercial colleagues, fostering a data-driven culture.
- Support fundraising, M&A, or strategic partnerships if required.
- Advise the Executive team on financial and commercial decisions.
- Growth the finance and commercial functions to meet the growth and performance expectations of the business.
Candidate Profile: Skills & Experience
✅ Finance Expertise: Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 10+ years in financial leadership (FD/CFO or senior commercial finance roles).
✅ Sector Knowledge: Experience in infrastructure, utilities or industrial services are preferred.
✅ Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to influence pricing, contracts, and growth strategy.
✅ Systems & Reporting: Strong background in ERP/financial systems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or Oracle) and development of business reporting / insight tools.
✅ Leadership: Ability to drive change in a scaling SME/medium-sized business.
