We are seeking a Project Manager (Scaffolding) to join our dynamic team in Chester.
The Team manages Scaffolding/Access works in various sectors across the UK and globally in the Offshore Wind sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of scaffolding projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Responsibilities include, Project Planning & Delivery, Team & Resource Management, client/account management, and overseeing site operations in line with regulatory and safety standards.
Project Planning & Delivery
- Manage all phases of scaffolding projects, from pre-start planning through to completion and handover.
- Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and lifting plans.
- Coordinate scaffolding design, approvals, and compliance with site requirements.
- Develop and manage project programmes, ensuring efficient sequencing and timely execution.
Team & Resource Management
- Lead site teams, including supervisors and operatives, to ensure safe and effective work practices.
- Allocate labour, plant, and materials in coordination with operations and procurement teams.
- Monitor team performance and ensure training and certifications (CISRS, PASMA, etc.) are up to date.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Promote and enforce a strong health & safety culture across all projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., TG20:21, SG4, CDM Regulations, Work at Height Regulations).
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the key point of contact for clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Attend site meetings and provide progress updates, addressing queries and concerns.
- Maintain strong working relationships to support repeat business and future tenders.
Commercial & Financial Oversight
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and variations in collaboration with commercial teams.
- Ensure timely completion of valuations, progress reports, and final accounts.
- Support tender submissions and pricing with input on scope, methodology, and resourcing.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in scaffolding or access services.
- In-depth knowledge of scaffolding systems and design process (e.g., tube & fitting, system scaffold).
- Experience delivering projects in sectors such as off-shore, construction, rail, HV power, industrial etc..
- Strong understanding of CDM, Health, Safety, and Quality standards.
Desirable:
- First Principle Estimating/Cost Planning
- Offshore/Onshore Wind Experience
- HV Sub Stations/Transmission (National Grid Persons)
- Experience with rail or infrastructure projects (e.g., PTS card, Sentinel profile).
- Familiarity with BIM or scaffold design software tools.
- NVQ Level 3/4 in Construction or Scaffolding Supervision.
Desirable Certifications:
- CISRS Advanced Scaffolder
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- First Aid at Work
- Scaffold Inspection Certificate

Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
