Overview:
Are you a confident communicator who thrives on uncovering opportunities and winning work? We’re seeking a proactive, sales-driven professional to join our Pre-Construction Team. In this role, you’ll identify and pursue new business through portals, bids, tenders, and client outreach, playing a key role in the company’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and follow up on sales leads through digital portals and industry databases
- Use platforms including Salesforce & Barbour ABI to track upcoming opportunities and key contacts
- Engage new prospects via persuasive phone calls and professional email communication
- Maintain and update pre-qualification portals, ensuring all company credentials are accurate and competitive
- Manage the enquiry inbox, prioritising and escalating high-potential opportunities
- Collaborate with the Operations Team to ensure fast turnaround on bids and tenders
- Provide administrative support and cover during staff absences
- Report regularly to the Pre-Construction Manager, sharing updates on leads, opportunities, and portal performance
Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience working with Barbour ABI, Salesforce, or similar CRM and lead generation tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills – able to influence and build rapport with prospects
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SharePoint
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience in sales, pre-construction, tenders, or client-facing roles preferred

- Location: Must be able to commute to our Chester office on a daily basis
