Overview:
Are you a confident communicator who thrives on uncovering opportunities and winning work? We’re seeking a proactive, sales-driven professional to join our Pre-Construction Team. In this role, you’ll identify and pursue new business through portals, bids, tenders, and client outreach, playing a key role in the company’s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and follow up on sales leads through digital portals and industry databases
  • Use platforms including Salesforce & Barbour ABI to track upcoming opportunities and key contacts
  • Engage new prospects via persuasive phone calls and professional email communication
  • Maintain and update pre-qualification portals, ensuring all company credentials are accurate and competitive
  • Manage the enquiry inbox, prioritising and escalating high-potential opportunities
  • Collaborate with the Operations Team to ensure fast turnaround on bids and tenders
  • Provide administrative support and cover during staff absences
  • Report regularly to the Pre-Construction Manager, sharing updates on leads, opportunities, and portal performance

Experience & Skills:

  • Previous experience working with Barbour ABI, Salesforce, or similar CRM and lead generation tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – able to influence and build rapport with prospects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SharePoint
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in sales, pre-construction, tenders, or client-facing roles preferred

Job Details:

  • Salary: £30,000.00 per year
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (in-person)
  • Location: Must be able to commute to our Chester office on a daily basis
