BGB Group Global Celebrates UK Wind Energy Week

As we celebrate UK Wind Energy Week 2025, BGB Group Global are proud to be part of this rapidly growing sector. UK offshore and onshore wind farms have a vital role to play in delivering the clean energy that is so vital for Britain’s future energy security and our environmental goals.

As a major supply chain partner, providing innovative access and support solutions to both offshore and onshore wind, BGB is helping to make things happen, on both a national and a global scale.

We have a presence on every single project operated by Ørsted, the largest offshore wind developer in the world, and we support many other companies around the UK coast and across the world.

Workin
g towards clean energy by 2030

Together with our industry partners, BGB is working hard to deliver the ambitious targets of a clean energy system by 2030, and Net Zero by 2050 plans. And our hard work is already paying dividends.

This year, wind energy took a major step forward to become the number one source of electricity in the UK, out-performing gas for the first time. Wind energy produced 83 TWh of electricity over the past year, equating to 31% of the electricity consumed in Britain.

Supporting the sector from the start

As the go-to company for offshore wind access solutions, BGB are here to support wind energy projects from the start. We provide a comprehensive range of services needed by the industry, all backed by top level training, expertise and experience.

Our expert teams can help to build, commission, inspect and maintain wind energy systems both offshore and onshore, providing the highest standards of service and safety from substation maintenance to in-situ blade inspections.

A thriving company in a growing industry

As a company that has enjoyed rapid growth ourselves, we are delighted to not only be driving forward the sustainable, renewable energy programme, but to also be driving the wind energy economy.

We are expanding our operations both here in the UK and in our overseas companies, including Rhode Island, USA and Taiwan, with new projects now starting in Australia. Wherever we operate, BGB creates new jobs, trains new skills and lifts standards to new heights.

An exciting future for UK wind energy

UK Wind Energy Week is not just about celebrating the success of the sector so far; it’s also a time to look forward to the exciting future that lies ahead for us all.

With a raft of new projects in the Celtic Sea and North Sea, alongside dynamic new onshore developments, such as Calderdale Energy Park, the future is looking bright for the UK wind energy industry. Here at BGB we have the skills and experience to support this growth every step of the way.
