Maritime

BGB Group Global Ltd is based on the North Wales coast, at Mostyn Dock, and has extensive experience of working on both dry dock and open sea projects through our industry leading work in the offshore wind sector.

This puts us in a unique position to expand into the thriving marine sector, and its wider supply chain, across the North West of England and beyond.

At the heart of international trade

The ports of North West, including the historic docks of Liverpool and Birkenhead, have been at the heart of international trade for centuries.

From providing the departure point for the early settlers heading for a new start in the New World, to keeping open the vital supply routes during the two world wars, these docks have provided a lifeline for generations.

Today, these ports are as important as ever. From the £400million deep water container port in Liverpool, handling close to a million TEUs of cargo a year, to our home port of Mostyn, which is playing a key role in our core sector of offshore wind, the marine and maritime sector is thriving in the area.

The perfect blend of skills

Here at BGB we are perfectly placed to support these ports with a full range of marine and maritime access services, including scaffolding, encapsulation and IRATA industrial rope access.

Our engineers can offer a unique blend of skills, combining an extensive history of onshore scaffolding works with the unique experience of working over water, both in port and at sea.

This not only informs our designs and innovative maritime access solutions, it also means we are fully conversant with the wide range of regulations and standards that apply across these two very different working environments.

By bringing these skillsets together, BGB are able to offer original and proven marine access solutions that include a level of insight and experience rarely found elsewhere.

An active partner

Keen to expand into this exciting and growing sector, BGB Group Global Ltd is a member of both Mersey Maritime, which supports the maritime industry and wider supply chain in the Liverpool City Region and the greater North West, as well as UK Ports, which supports Britain’s wider maritime infrastructure.

We welcome the opportunity to work with port operators, developers and maritime engineers on port construction projects, port maintenance and day to day operations across a range of services and contract frameworks.
