Rail Works

The extensive experience that BGB Group Global Ltd has with the highly regulated offshore wind sector, gives us a unique understanding of the precise demands of other strictly controlled industry sectors.

This unique perspective makes BGB a knowledgeable and dependable choice for scaffolding and access support work within the UK rail sector.

BGB is rail-ready for a range of projects across the network. We hold full RISQS accreditation (including the additional CIRAS confidential safety hotline, Pre-Employment and Random Drug and Alcohol Testing and Fatigue Management / Fatigue Reduction elements) and our teams are all Sentinel trained, to give our clients complete confidence, and to allow our operatives full access to work on the Network Rail estate.

Rising to the challenge

The UK rail network is a vast and aging estate, containing an extensive portfolio of buildings and architectural assets. These include over 2,000 stations, numerous lineside buildings and significant amounts of other critical infrastructure.

Each of these assets presents its own safety and access challenges, from working close to live and active lines, to working in remote and hard to reach location. At BGB, our talented team can create affordable, innovative rail asset access solutions that rise to all of these challenges.

Our extensive work with high voltage power assets also gives BGB the experience and expertise to create specialist access solutions for overhead line work, from local branch lines to the flagship HS2 link.

Flexible services for a diverse network

The BGB team have extensive experience providing scaffolding, encapsulation and IRATA industrial rope access for a variety of different assets, in a wide range of challenging trackside environments.

At BGB, our job is to make your job as safe and straightforward as possible. Putting safety first at all times, our teams deliver creative, cost-effective rail network access solutions, backed by full QHSE accountability. Our aim is to enable our clients and contractors to work efficiently and effectively, whatever the asset, whatever the location.

The team to trust

As a direct result of our extensive experience and expertise, BGB are proud to have secured contracts with a number of the principal contractors engaged in maintaining and repairing the UK’s rail estate. Together we are optimising asset utilisation, ensuring safety and delivering cost-effective services, while balancing lifecycle costs with initial affordability.

We are excited to be playing our part in ensuring that the access elements of the Buildings Asset Management Framework in Network Rail’s Control Period 7 are delivered as safely as possible to provide a solid foundation for the future of the UK rail network.
