Once the pre-treatment assessment has been completed, and any issues identified and dealt with, our teams move on to surface preparation. This ensures the best possible substrate surface to maximise adhesion and extend the effective life of the selected coating.

• Manual preparation – precise hand tool work to ensure every inch of the surface is reached, cleared and cleaned to ST2 standards
• Power tool preparation – to prepare larger, more accessible areas to ST3 standards and provide a suitable key for coating adhesion
• Surface blasting – including grit blasting (to Sa 2/Sa 2.5/Sa 3), slurry blasting, ultra-high-pressure (UHP) water jetting up to 40,000 psi, mechanical preparation (SSPC-SP11)
• Pre-cleaning – to deliver the highest levels of oil residue, weld smoke, salt and chloride removal, with Bresle testing as standard.
